Three Suspects Arrested After Threats Prompt School Closures in New Jersey

On Monday, three suspects were taken into custody following an online threat that led to the closure of schools in the Woodbury and Deptford districts in New Jersey, affecting nearly 6,000 students. The threats targeted specific schools, including Bowe Middle School, prompting increased police presence in the Glassboro and Haddon Heights districts, which remained open.

Authorities arrested two youths from Woodbury and one from Glassboro, with police commending community members for their assistance in identifying the suspects. Superintendent Andrew T. Bell Sr. emphasized that while the threat was deemed not credible, caution was paramount for student safety. Similarly, Deptford Township schools were closed as a precaution after consulting with law enforcement.
